This museum is shaped like the Canadian maple leaf and covered with titanium. The museum traces the history and geography of Canada through numerous testimonials from Canadians from a wide variety of areas. Multimedia and interactive games.
After a short introductory film, the visitor understands the important role that Canadian troops, and especially the naval forces, played in the Normandy landings, but also their industrial efforts for the Allies.

One of five beaches of the Allied invasion of German-occupied France in the Normandy landings on 6 June 1944 during the Second World War. The beach spanned from Courseulles, a village just east of the British beach Gold, to Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer, and just west of the British beach Sword. A modern museum gives a detailed history of the events. Several free outdoor exhibits are placed in the area.

Center Juno Beach, a museum and documentation center, is located directly on the beach at Courseulles-sur-Mer, codenamed Juno. In this section between Courseulles and Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer landed on 6 June 1944 as part of the liberation of France, the Allied Canadian troops with more than 14,000 soldiers.
The nearby Croix de Lorraine is reminiscent of the landing of Général de Gaulle, who entered the French mainland at this point on 14 June 1944.
