The Upper Großhartmannsdorfer pond is a dam of the Revierwasserlaufanstalt Freiberg (RWA) in Saxony. It was built between 1591 and 1593 near Grosshartmannsdorf for mining in the Freiberg district and is connected via artificial trenches and florets with other ponds of RWA. RWA water is transported via a raw water transfer to the Lichtenberg dam and further into the Klingenberg dam, which is used to supply drinking water from Freiberg to Dresden. The jammed natural waters of the Großhartmannsdorfer Bach (or Oberteichbach). Nearby are the Mittlerer and the Untere Grosshartmannsdorfer pond. It is part of the Fauna-Flora-Habitat Freiberger mine ponds.
