      In Godelheim, a detour to the Godelheimer See is worthwhile when the weather is warm. Here you can swim for free. There is a sandy beach and a playground for big and small children. There are also sanitary facilities...
      Or a detour to the Ahlemeyer leisure area. Here you can rent pedal boats, rent a day plot for camping and barbecuing, or eat ice cream.

              Along the Oberweser there are many small towns with historic city center. Especially nice the starting point Hann. Münden and the first stage destination Höxter with the world heritage castle Corvey.

                The part between Wehrden and Hameln is the most beautiful of the whole Weser cycle path. From Bad Karlshafen, the cycle path first leads along the main road, which is only moderately appealing. At least from Minden the scenic charm falls off quite, it is just pretty flat.
