Windsurfers, kitesurfers, sailing enthusiasts—anyone looking for a bit of wind—have come to the right place. Viganj is your destination. It is located eight kilometers west of Orebić at the narrowest point of the Pelješac Channel. Due to the narrow passage, this is the area where the strongest winds in the Adriatic blow.

The Mistral wind blows daily. Pure joy for adrenaline lovers! It starts blowing around 10:00 a.m. and lasts until the evening. This tempers the summer heat, which is also good for those who enjoy sunbathing. Almost every summer, a surfing competition takes place in Viganj, the most famous being the 2013 World Championship.

Surfers and kitesurfers from all over the world meet at Ponti Liberan, Viganj's most famous beach, and there are also schools for these sports nearby that rent equipment and teach you how to surf independently in ten hours.
