Between the Fulda and the "Im Sand" nature reserve, this beautiful path stretches from Rotenburg to Braach on the right-hand side of the river - for MTBs it is the ideal alternative to the Fulda cycle path R1, which runs on the left-hand side. The path leads along a former gravel quarrying area with several ponds and a backwater arm of the Fulda. Due to the widening of the river, this area is used as a flood plain for flood protection. The route is also part of the "Fuldaaue R4 circular walk", but no problem for cyclists and pedestrians if they pay attention to each other and show consideration.
