Feeling the wind blow in your ears here on the dyke, seeing the sea on one side and experiencing the bird sanctuary on the other is a great experience. 🐟🐦🦆🦢

On the approximately 10 km long dyke trail you can enjoy the unique natural landscape to the fullest. The nearly 600-hectare Rantumbecken is one of the most beautiful and species-rich bird sanctuaries in northern Germany, where more than 50 bird species breed and rest. Especially at the time of bird migration thousands of birds can be seen in huge swarms in Rantumbecken at high tide.

Very nice area on Sylt. Definitely worth a visit. Whether by car, on foot or by bike. Beware when cycling around the bike, partly unpaved roads, but worth it in any case. Circumnavigation by bike approx. 45 min.
