In September 2021, after only about six months of construction, this larch wood footbridge was reopened. It spans the Mangfall River, which flows out of Lake Tegernsee here and heads north. A successful construction that now replaces the aging bridge. In April 2020, it was determined that its stability could no longer be guaranteed, and the footbridge was completely closed.

from the north shore in Gmund, where the Tegernsee drains into the Mangfall, one has one of the most beautiful views over the whole lake. Behind it is the local mountain of the Tegernsee valley, the Wallberg.
