The small Steinhuder Meerbach, which measures just eight meters from one bank to the other at the widest points, flows out of the Steinhuder Meer, meanders through Rehburg and becomes almost invisible to pedestrians and motorized contemporaries on many kilometers. In the midst of untouched nature, he glides calmly and lazily towards Nienburg. Only in a few places, like this one, is it accessible. Eleven kilometer long canoe route from Rehburg to Brokeloh:

- The district of Nienburg is richer by a tourist attraction: Canoeists and hobbyists have in future the opportunity to drive a newly designated route on the Steinhuder Meerbach between Rehburg and Brokeloh (Samtgemeinde Landesbergen). The route is around eleven kilometers long, with just under three and a half hours on the average canoe. The district of Nienburg has developed the route in cooperation with Mittelweser-Touristik, the city of Rehburg-Loccum and the velvet municipality Landesbergen, the Ecological Protection Station Steinhuder Meer (ÖSSM) and the BUND-Kreisgruppe Nienburg. Now they let the first canoe at the starting point in Rehburg to water.
