The district of Brohl, located directly on the Rhine, was first documented in 1252.
The present-day municipality was formed on November 7, 1970, through the merger of the previously independent municipalities of Brohl (then with 2,017 inhabitants) and Niederlützingen (955 inhabitants). The name Brohl-Lützing was officially granted on February 1, 1971.

Overall, Brohl-Lützing is not a beauty, but the village square with town hall and fountain is very nice.
