For me the most beautiful way through the forest down to Idstein - coming from the Fürstenwald or from Lenzhahn or from the Alteburg.
You drive on firm, but rather sandy, almost white ground, always with a slight incline through light birch, later beech and pine forests - always relatively high on the quite steep slope above the valley, which occasionally also gets through the needles or the foliage reveals.
Because the trail faces west, summer afternoons are often dry and warm, and the light is reminiscent of the south!
Nice route, except for the first steep section at the Ponyhof restaurant, it is also good to drive uphill.
But please always drive defensively and on sight: There is often riding, logging and hiking here!
