Pigna is a village perched on top of a hill. Famous for its authentic atmosphere and rich cultural heritage, Pigna attracts visitors with its narrow streets, local craft shops and art galleries. But what really sets this village apart is its passion for music. Every summer, the Pigna Music Festival resounds through its streets, bringing together local and international artists for memorable concerts.
The place is located in the Corsican mountains at around 230 meters above sea level. Neighboring communities are Corbara in the north, Santa-Reparata-di-Balagna in the northeast and east, Sant'Antonino in the south and southeast and Aregno in the west.
Even from afar, the village of Pigna with its many blue shutters makes a friendly impression. If you stroll through the streets you will discover pottery workshops, a pipe carver and restorers of musical instruments. Many artists have settled in the village. It is therefore also known as the artists' village.
