The baroque castle in Smilkov is a local attraction, in the middle of the 14th century a fortress stood here. Today's shape of the castle was given by the less fortunate neo-Gothic reconstruction in the 19th century. several After various noble families, it was bought in 1930 by the Prague manufacturer F. Kořán. After 1945 the castle served as a retirement home, after 1989 the castle became the subject of many years of legal disputes. Unclear ownership conditions did not benefit the building, of course, and the palace building and valuable park fell into disrepair. The castle with the surrounding properties was offered for sale in 2017.
