The 31 fragments shown belong to the Gibeon meteorite. They were found near the city of Gibeon, 340km south of Windhoek. Upon entering the earth's atmosphere, the meteorite burst into thousands of individual pieces that can be found over an area of 370x185km. A total of 26t of material has been found so far.
