Viewed from below, the view of the hairpin bends in front of you is just as impressive (and perhaps a bit disconcerting) as the view below. Take it easy and just enjoy the view and the fact that you are right in the middle of the climb to one of the most legendary passes. Particularly impressive is the huge waterfall, which loudly accompanies your driveway. Arrived at the top, before you reach the "plateau", offers a short break. Sit down for a few minutes on one of the benches and just enjoy the view. You deserve it.

The driveway of Bormio is, so to speak, the Stilfser Joch Mauerblümchen, most think in this pass probably to the 48 bends and 1800 meters altitude of Prad in Vinschgau. The Bormio south drive is hardly less spectacular and requires only marginally less effort for the good 100 vertical meters less. There are some short steep sections here, especially in front of the serpentine group in the middle section. And some rough-hewn tunnels, but nowadays solar panels and LED-lit tunnels add spice to the ride.
