Old, mighty trees characterize the picture in the forest and nature reserve "Neuweiler Viehweide", a historic forest pasture area. In addition to numerous rare plants, cave-breeding birds, bats and wood-dwelling bugs have their home here. In a joint project, forest and nature conservation pushed back younger trees on a 6-hectare wooded area and released the up to 400-year-old oak trees. By regularly grazing in the traditional way, the fenced forest area should be kept open. Source: outdooractive.com/de/wald/stuttgart-und-umgebung/waldkulturerbe-neuweiler-viehweide/23363144
