With the construction of the hydroelectric dam at Lac de Guerlédan in 1930, the old canal from Nantes to Brest, which had already lost its function for transport for a long time, was interrupted completely. The bike path to Brest must circumnavigate the Lake, and the Vélodissé / EuroVelo 1 to Roscoff becomes a greenway following an old railway.
