After dismantling and reparations, the factory had to be almost completely rebuilt in the post-war years.

The Kranbau employees showed an enormous will to build and outstanding performance.

As early as 1951, 35 self-developed cranes for the USSR and a SAG operation could be delivered.

Eberswalde cranes have been in many ports around the world since the 1970s and 1980s.
In 1989, VEB Kranbau had 3,219 employees and 456 apprentices.

Starting in 1990, crane construction was privatized several times.

Today's Kirow Ardelt GmbH employs around 160 workers.

The remaining crane is now on the grounds of the family garden.
