For family outings in northern Emsland, the Surwolds Wald multi-activity park is undoubtedly a great attraction, with its diverse recreational offerings, including a summer toboggan run, mini golf course, observation tower, climbing forest, dining options, and fairytale forest.
But even those without families will have fun here. If you arrive in time by 5 p.m., you can enjoy a fantastic view from the observation tower over the region around Surwold all the way to the Meyer shipyard in Papenburg.

Depending on the time of day: Always a good address for a small meal in between: ice cream, cakes, fries and what else you need for the rest of the tour.

A beautiful forest with lots of extras, the recreation area of Surwolds Forest is a widely popular destination for family outings. Generations compete at mini golf, young and old have fun on the 300 meter long summer toboggan run and while the children romp around on the playground with a 32 meter high observation tower, parents enjoy nature. Other attractions of the 34 hectare facility are a fairytale and a climbing forest as well as the heated forest outdoor pool.
