The Protestant Collegiate Church of Windecken has a long and eventful history behind it. The oldest components date from the 13th century. After its destruction in the “Thirty Years’ War”, the church was completely rebuilt.
The church at the foot of the Schlossberg in Windecken was once dedicated to St. Cyriacus and has been a Protestant collegiate church since 1540. The imposing 23 meter high spire dates from 1706.
