Placed at the bottom of a natural basin that forms between the peaks of Mount Fior, Castelgomberto and Spill. Among these pastures you can stroll through places rich in memories of the First World War; in fact, near the hut you can see the remains of a military cemetery, near the saddle “Stringa” important trenches and walkways and on the top of Castelgomberto a monument to General Euclide Turba, who died here during the battle of 23 November 1917; an epitaph by the futurist poet Carlo Delcroix is dedicated to him and carved in the rock.
The hut produces and sells its own dairy products.
