As is known, its origin is Arabic. In the 17th century it was the library of the Dominican convent that occupied the site of the current cemetery.
It is considered a real fortification, the third castle in the city. It is a square tower with thick walls and 18 meters high, distributed over 4 floors, of which the last one constitutes a true viewpoint over the city. Several arrow slits open on its walls. The access door is halfway up on the north side.
