Fieldstone church, mostly plastered, with west tower. Currently (10/2019) roof renovation with the support of the German Monument Protection Foundation. Update 04/2020: still construction work, the church is completely scaffolded. New update 02/2022: the exterior renovation is complete

The village church of Groß Leinen stands on a raised site in the middle of the village. It is a hall church from the 15th century, which consists mainly of uncut field stones and mixed masonry. On the right side of the church, in the shade of some trees, there is a historical burial area with over 70 stones. The artistic gravestones, which are over 100 years old, are definitely worth a look.
