On a hill above the Groin du Cou cape, the picturesque lighthouse, which unfortunately can't be visited inside, is raised even higher to signal ships around the treacherous coastal waters.

The lighthouse guard the entrance to the Breton port and replaces a 9-meter lantern built in 1831. Following numerous shipwrecks, the lighthouse, a square turret with a 14-meter masonry structure, was built in 1866 to prevent captains of the dangerous surroundings of the sliced ribs made up of calcareous bottoms. Destroyed in the night of July 24, 1944 by the Germans during the Second World War, it was rebuilt in 1950 according to the plans of the architect Maurice Durand. The current lighthouse measures 16.33 meters, it is a turret painted in white of slightly pyramidal shape, with octagonal section and its lower part is square. The masonry is smooth with corbelling at the top, on a square base, forming a group with several buildings. The lantern is painted black. The lighthouse is electrified in 1953.
