      Today's castle building was built in 1868/69 on a rampart surrounded by a moat under Rolf Viggo de Neergaard. The park and garden complex, which is well worth seeing, is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is free. Fuglsang currently houses a hotel and restaurant business and functions as an educational center for Danish universities. There has been a manor here since the 15th century, when it belonged to the Maribo Monastery. At the end of the 17th century the possessions passed to the Danish Crown. Many changing owners followed until the estate was transferred to the Classenske Fideikommis Foundation in 1947.           A beautiful art museum in the middle of fields. You wouldn't expect such a fascinating exhibition. They also have changing exhibitions. We were there six years ago, and by chance, we came across the Edvard Munch exhibition.
