The Whitely Woods trail and the Porter Clough connect Sheffield to the Peaks without the need to tackle roads and traffic, so this is very often the start and finish of a ride.

The Porter Clough climb is a fairly rude start, but a fantastic bonus on the way home.

And of course, if you stop and look you'll find a great view of Sheffield.This will be many a Sheffielders first proper ascent in the Peaks.

Steep and lose gravel, so if climbing well worth checking those tire pressures and lock that shock out. Just be use caution if coming down as horses regularly use this track.
