Fed by water from the Marine "ru" (irrigation canal), the Glacières (or Giassère) mill boasts a rich history, as evidenced by the dates engraved on some parts of the building. The first documented news dates back to 1501 and is found in an act of tetrarchy from the Valais lords to the managers of the mills.
