Halfway between Topolje and Gajic, right next to the road, in the middle of the field, you will see a large white building, which you are not immediately sure if it really is a church, since there is no tower. The Baroque Church of St. Peter and Paul was built in 1722 to commemorate the victory of Eugene of Savoy over the Ottomans. The bell tower collapsed three times during construction, so the builders eventually abandoned construction. The church was also destroyed during World War II and Patriotic War, but was rebuilt at the beginning of the 21st century. We couldn't get in, but I read that it was very modestly furnished. The last fair was held there in 1961. Since 2002, a folk church festival "Mary May Queen" has been held in the church in May.
