The approximately 1 kilometer long tree trail on the Sesekeweg stretches below the Monopol slag heap to the Eilater Bridge. Here you can discover different types of trees and learn more about them - thanks to the informative explanatory panels.
In addition to the numerous trees, the flora and fauna in the area are just as nice to look at. The green areas are interspersed with wild flowers, herbs and grasses and invite you to take a break.
Unfortunately, there are always disturbances caused by vandalism of our public property such as benches and signs that were financed with taxpayers' money. This is not good for the beauty of the path and the community.
I appeal to all hikers/pedestrians/walkers/dog walkers who are on the Sesekeweg (hiking/cycling path) and other hiking/cycling paths to follow a few rules:
As on a country road, you always walk towards the moving traffic. This is the only way to see the danger that is coming towards you! Try it out and every cyclist will thank you! This way, children can learn how to behave on cycle paths. What Johnny doesn't learn, Hans will never learn, or "lifelong learning".
If you are out and about with dogs, please keep them on a leash and at heel (left side of the body) if possible so that both are safer.
