The castle of the Dukes of Lorraine sits high on a rocky outcrop and towers over the town and the picturesque loops of the Moselle: an overwhelming panorama. The often destroyed and rebuilt fortress from the 11th century was one of the favorite residences of the Dukes of Lorraine, also influenced by the history of the von Sierck family.
