Hôtel de ville de Genève / Government
Geneva, the town hall
The building, listed as a historical monument by the City and Canton of Geneva, was built and adapted in successive stages from the middle of the 15th century. This enlarged portico was built in 1617 by the architect F. Petitot. It is currently in the service of the cantons and municipal parliaments. There are also many administrative services, including the Chancellery of State and the General Secretariat of the Grand Council.
The website of the Canton of Geneva allows a virtual tour of the building.
"In addition to the seven 360-degree photos that allow you to explore every corner of the building, presentation texts give a brief description of each of the rooms, with the possibility of enlarging the remarkable elements of the furniture or decoration."
