Church of S. Maria in Castello: it was built at the beginning of the XII century. on an older building from the portal with Cosmatesque decorations. The majestic interior preserves important works. To visit, contact the Museum.
Church of S. Maria di Valverde: from the Romanesque period it was rebuilt over the centuries. Inside it houses important works including a Byzantine table with the Madonna and Child.
Duomo, is probably the largest and richest building in the city. From the Roman era, it was later rebuilt in the 17th century. after a fire. Inside it preserves the best work of Pastura, among the most beautiful frescoes in Tuscia, depicting the Life of the Virgin.
Church of the Annunziata, was built in the XII century. The simple facade has a series of characteristic arches.
Church of S. Pancrazio: it was built in the XIII century. in Romanesque-Gothic style with a nice bell tower.
Church of S.Giovanni Battista: large Romanesque building dating back to around the XIII century. The interior preserves the remains of ancient frescoes and the particular Gothic-style apses.
Church of S.Francesco: it was built in the 14th century, the interior is structured in three naves with arches resting on pillars with precious capitals. Among the important works is the frontal with a valuable Cosmatesque mosaic.
