Back to the blacktop, the Main Park Road is paved and climbs gradually out of the park or towards the main ranger station, depending on which direction you travel. The speed limit is reasonable, but it's still advisable to keep an ear out for approaching cars, as drivers can be distracted by the surrounding scenery.
