The Estanys de Mascarida de Dalt are lakes of glacial origin that are located at an altitude of 2441m, at the head of the Vall de Cardós, in the Pallars Sobirà, to the NW. of the town of Tavascan, in the municipal term of Lladorre.
Its basin is located between the Pic de la Coma del Forn (2683m), to the N., Campirme (2633m) to the S., and the Montforcado (2634m) to the W.
It has an area of 0.42 hectares and a length of 105m. it receives the waters of the mountain and pours them into the Mascarida Lake.
They are under the protection of the Alt Pirineu Natural Park.
