As early as 1458, two hammer sites were first built on the Gerasmühle in a letter from Emperor Friedrich III. mentioned in a document. The area increased considerably in the following century, but just like Mühlhof, the Gerasmühle was destroyed in the 2nd Margrave War in 1552.
After the mill had been rebuilt in 1565, again began a rapid expansion of the property, before 1619 another fire destroyed parts of the mill. From a purchase agreement of 1622, however, it emerges that the Gerasmühle already possessed an enormous size at that time and had several buildings.
Light but beautiful trail along the water. The approach from the south is made difficult by a locked gate, but there are possibilities ;-) There is also a huge ancient lime tree with a hideout for children.
