The housing estate was built in the 19th century as a mining village of mines Leonhard and Vereinsglück. As a street village (about 26 buildings) created, with farms, school, community center, etc., the settlement was gradually abandoned with the gradual decline of mining. In 1996 the settlement lost its last inhabitant.
