Rising in the middle of the rocky landscape is this megalithic tomb that has stood here for over 5,000 years. The dolmen is a silent witness to time, supported by two mighty stones holding a massive capstone. It is amazing to know that over 30 people were once buried here, whose remains can now be seen in the museum in Dublin.

The dolmen seems almost unreal in the vast, rugged landscape of the Burren - a place where nature merges with history. The limestone slabs and the ancient structure make you pause for a moment before continuing your ride. It is worth getting off your bike to explore this place up close and soak up the mystical atmosphere.

A short detour here will not only bring you into contact with Celtic history, but also with one of the most beautiful areas of Ireland. If you are cycling through the Burren, this is a place you should not miss.

Beautiful area there in 'The Burren' - the 'Poulnabrone Dolmen' is right in the middle of it. I was lucky enough to experience a sunset here and a sunrise (I stayed nearby...)
