Emmerichshofen Castle is a stately property in the late Baroque style. The estate, consisting of several courtyards, was built around 1766/68 by civil servants of the Elector-Archbishop of Mainz Emmerich Joseph von Breidbach-Bürresheim, who already bore the name "the Emmerichshöfe" in 1770. On April 17, 1835, Sigmund August Philipp Waitz von Eschen from Hanau acquired the castle with real estate and is still owned by the family today. The Christmas market in the castle is very popular these days.
