Darrou is a small hill in the Galloway Forest Park. The River Dee runs at the base of its southern slopes and a quarry also lies to the west of the Puldow Strand (stream) at the base of the hill. Darrou is commonly hiked by those setting their sights on Little Millyea and Meikle Millyea - its much higher neighbours. At the time of visiting there were some yellow/orange flags marking what I can only assume was a hill race.
