Eisendorf was founded in the middle of the 14th century with the search for iron ore.
In 1930 the Bohemian town had 174 houses, with over 1000 German residents.
Now only about 15 houses are left.
The St. Barbara Church, built in 1718, was demolished in the 1990s and barracks were built in its place. A stone plinth on the site of the former church, the cross on the Steinock, the war memorial that still exists and the mill pond are among the sights of the border town.
