The Lauser Weiher is a place where I always like to take a break when I'm heading towards Mangfall and Leitzach - coming from the north. The small land bridge at this point offers a beautiful view of the relatively large water basin, which extends to Unterlaus and is divided there by the road to Großhöhenrain.
The Lauser Weiher is popular with swimmers in the summer, but I see many walkers and athletes using this beautiful area all year round.
It is fed by the Kupferbach, which has its source just south of Percha and then meanders towards Glonn. The water looks very clean and inviting.
So: definitely take a little break when you come by here again...

The lake is surrounded by wooded hills, which is why it is already in the shade in the late afternoon. The fish population of the lake, which is leased to the Bad Aibling district fishing association, shows a wide variety of species: whitefish, pike, zander, carp, tench and, increasingly, catfish.

In 2002, the Lauser Weiher overflowed its banks due to torrential water flowing from the neighboring slopes and flooded large parts of Unterlaus.
