Here you come across the Ems in a very unique way. The "Leher Pünte" is one of two rope-bound ferries across the Ems. It takes you to the other bank for little money from the beginning of May to October.
Timetable:
Sundays and public holidays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.,
during the holidays also on Saturdays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The hand-operated "Leher Pünte" cable ferry is close to Heede and Lehe on the Ems. By ringing a bell or shouting "Haol aower", two ferrymen take the ferry across the Ems on the opposite bank. For one euro per person including bike, you can be ferried over.
