The park of Bad Köstritz is directly adjacent to the Weiße Elster. It is worth taking a break here. There is plenty to discover in the park: There are some wooden sculptures, a temple and an animal enclosure. The beautiful plant of the dahlia arch is also adjacent.

In 1687, the castle building in the Renaissance style was built as a Köstritz residence on the site of the burning of the lower manor by Heinrich I. Reuß von Köstritz. In 1704, the four wing construction was completed. Count Heinrich XXIV. Used it as a permanent residence. In 1830 the Princely Brewery was established in the western castle complex, which brewed beer until 1908. In 1972, the actual castle building was torn off.
