The former hunting lodge in Zeititz was built in 1893/94 by Wolf von Arnim, who had already acquired the Zeititz manor from Schnetger, a manor owner from Machern, in 1892. It subsequently experienced a turbulent history. When Wolf von Arnim died in 1904, his wife, von Arnim-Peres, first took over the Zeititz estate, followed soon after by his son, Hans-Karl von Arnim-Peres (Baron and Saxon Chamberlain). Because of his gambling nature, he fell into debt and was forced to sell it in 1933.

But even the new owner of the Leipzig publishing house Köhler & Volkmar didn't own it for long, as officers from the nearby Brandis airfield, a night fighter squadron, took up residence there until the end of the war.

As a result of the war and the hardships of the postwar period, the number of tuberculosis cases had risen sharply, the former manor house and all its outbuildings were converted into a tuberculosis sanatorium in 1948. The sanatorium soon developed into a hospital and then a modern tuberculosis sanatorium. However, it was closed in 1967 as the disease's spread was increasingly eradicated.

From October 1967, it served as a convalescent home for pregnant women and was renamed "Clara Zetkin." Since convalescent homes for pregnant women were discouraged in 1990, the then director pushed for it to become a mother's convalescent home in January 1991.

But that didn't last long either, as asylum seekers were temporarily housed there. With the construction of the Zeititz Rehabilitation Clinic, the villa became attractive to investors, who envisioned it as a home for medical staff and patients' visitors. But nothing came of it.

Today it serves as a residential property.
