Old grain distillery August Krämer (Dortmund-Holthausen)
Inwzischen, the family business Aug. Krämer Kornbrennerei GmbH is located in the city center of Dortmund on Schwanenwall. Formerly grain distillery here in Holthausen, the long-established company - now in its 5th generation - has grown into a fine manufactory for spirits, liqueurs and chocolates. Here at the Hausacker, in an almost impassable rural environment for a city, is still the old grain distillery. Here you always come automatically when you drive the Dortmund-Ems-Kanal on the eastern side uphill (ie direction Dortmund), because from an old establishment the operating path is interrupted. Here you must then over the street Hausacker at the old grain distillery and riding facilities over by Holthausen to come back to the canal. And if you like fine spirits and the finest chocolates and chocolates, then a visit to the new Schwanenwall site is a must.
