The Kahrmühle is mentioned for the first time in the year 1387 in the tax book of the Weihersberger castle as "Eisenhammer". Later it was used as a glass polishing, milling and milling mill.
In 1688 Hans Michael Aichamüller took over the estate from his mother (Reinwein). Since that time, the mill has been owned by the Eichermüller family who, after the last major refurbishment, converted the mill into a gem of the region, the "Landgasthof Kahrmühle".
