It is a lighthouse for maritime navigation aids that is located on Mount Insua, 1.9 km from Laxe, in the Galician province of A Coruña on the Costa da Morte.
This lighthouse was put into operation in 1920, as was the Punta Roncudo lighthouse, lighthouses that delimit the entrance to the Corme y Laxe estuary, to the south, and the O Roncudo lighthouse to the north.
Practically exact replica of the Roncudo lighthouse, it was built in 1920. Impressive views of the Atlantic Ocean, one of the best of the entire route of the lighthouses.
