Ferrara, also known as 'the city of bicycles,' was one of the Renaissance capitals of culture, art, politics and gastronomy thanks to the Estense family. Today it is a UNESCO city for the Renaissance and the Po delta. You cannot miss a visit to the Estense castle, Palazzo Schifanoia or an art exhibition at the Palazzo dei Diamanti.
