The path leads quite beautifully and quietly along as many watercourses as possible. The marked section corresponds exactly to part of the Mühlbach circular route, namely the route from the western end of Emmendingen in a northwesterly direction via Mundingen, Teningen, Köntreiben to Riegel (where the Mühlbach flows into the Elz a little before). It therefore represents a largely pleasant cycle route between these places (with the exception of sections on often busy roads in Mundingen and Teningen, where unfortunately there are no paths on the Mühlbach! Or are a little more complicated, but interesting as the path directly on/ north of the Mühlbach in Mundingen east of the Mundinger mill through an allotment colony!).
The other southeastern part of the Mühlbach circular path leads along long stretches of pleasantly and interestingly along the Mühlbach between Emmendingen and the junction of the Elz at the Kollmarsreuter weir (see bicycle section HL: "Mühlbach cycle path").
In this respect, here is a suggestion for a great circular route: Along the entire Mühlbach right through Emmendingen (as well as through Teningen, Köntreiben, Mundingen northwest of Emmendingen as well as Bürkle-Bleich in EM, Kollmarsreuter See and Mühle southeast of Emmendingen) and in the opposite direction on the Elz along.
Unfortunately, the signage is sometimes incomplete (hence this marked section as an aid/orientation for the northwestern part). Unfortunately, the boards explaining special hydraulic engineering features on the Mühlbach are also a bit older and some are no longer legible (see mediocre photos).
