De Dries is the central village square of the town of Opdorp, which is part of the East Flemish municipality of Buggenhout.
It concerns a triangular lawn of 4 hectares planted with lime trees. Originally it was a rectangular field, but the municipality subdivided part of it around 1875 to enable the construction of the municipal school and later also the town hall. Furthermore, on and near the Dries you will find the early 19th century Drieskapelletje, a pump from 1933, the Sint-Amandus Church and the parsonage, the former monastery house of the Sisters of Sint-Vincentius and the Opdorp Castle. On the Dries you will find the standing seesaws of the local shooting club.
De Dries is classified as a protected historic landscape and as a protected monument.
