The “Uli-Schmidt-Hütte” at Hellsee is the clubhouse of NaturFreunde OG Biesenthal-Hellmühle e.V., founded in 1994 by NaturFreund Ulrich Schmidt, after whom it was named. The hut and rest area were sold by the previous owner in 2001 and bought by the club.
The log cabin at the Hellmühle hiking rest area was designed as a nature education room for young and old and is popular with schools, kindergartens, hiking groups and guests interested in nature.
